SkinPen is the first microneedling device FDA-cleared for safety — and it doesn't add anything to your face. It switches on your skin's own repair response, so the collagen that softens scars and smooths texture is collagen you made.

SkinPen uses ultra-fine, single-use sterile needles to create thousands of microscopic channels in the skin — controlled, precise, and set to a depth chosen for your concern and the area we're treating.
Those micro-channels are just enough of a signal to start your body's natural repair cascade without damaging the surface. Growth factors rush in, and over the following weeks your skin lays down fresh collagen and elastin. Nothing synthetic is added and nothing is stripped away — you're prompting your skin to rebuild its own scaffolding, which is exactly why results keep improving for weeks after you walk out.

Microneedling works because it borrows a process your body already knows how to run — we just start it on purpose, in exactly the right places.
Ultra-fine sterile needles create thousands of microscopic channels, at a depth customized to your skin, your concern, and the area being treated.
Those channels trigger a natural wound-healing cascade. Growth factors flood the area and your body begins producing fresh collagen and elastin on its own.
Over the following weeks that new collagen firms the surface, lifts the floor of acne scars, and refines texture — building further with every session in your series.
Because microneedling rebuilds structure rather than chasing a single symptom, one plan can improve several concerns at once.
Rebuilds collagen beneath rolling and boxcar scars so the indents lift and soften from below.
Firms thin, crepey skin around the eyes, mouth, and neck — without freezing or filling anything.
Smooths congested, bumpy texture so your skin feels as good as it looks.
Tightens the collagen ring around each pore, so pores read smaller and far less obvious.
Wakes up sluggish, flat-looking skin for a genuine lit-from-within finish.
Works well beyond the face — stretch marks, surgical scars, and body texture all respond.
Microneedling layers beautifully with peels, lasers, and injectables. A quick consult sorts out the right combination for your skin, your goals, and your calendar.
Start with a virtual consultMicroneedling is one of the few collagen treatments that's genuinely safe across the full range of complexions, because it doesn't rely on heat or light that can chase pigment.
That said, richer skin tones (Fitzpatrick IV–VI) are more prone to post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation — the stubborn dark marks that can follow any inflammation. So we don't skip steps. If you have a deeper complexion, we'll start you on a short skin-preparation protocol before your first session to quiet pigment activity and protect your result.
We'd rather prepare your skin properly than hand you a result you'll spend months correcting.

On its own, SkinPen is excellent. Layered thoughtfully, it's a different level entirely — and most of these combinations add little or no extra downtime.
Our favorite pairing for collagen, full stop. Microneedling rebuilds from the surface down while Sculptra stimulates deep, structural collagen from below. Together they compound in a way neither does alone.
The PRX topical biostimulator drives extra collagen stimulation with no needles and no peeling — the easiest way to amplify your session without changing your week.
Add a VI Peel for tone and clarity, or the Aerolase Neo to calm redness and pigment — so you're resurfacing and rebuilding within one coordinated plan.
Neurotoxin (Botox, Dysport, Daxxify, Xeomin), biostimulators, and EZ Gel PRF can also be performed in the same visit. We'll sequence everything in the right order so nothing competes for your skin's healing.
At-home microneedling devices look similar and cost far less. Here's what's actually different — and why it matters for your skin.
Love your at-home roller for product absorption? Keep it. Just don't ask it to remodel collagen — that's a different depth, and a different tool.
We assess your skin, map your concerns, and build your series — including a preparation protocol first if your skin tone calls for one.
We apply a topical numbing cream and give it time to work, then treat the area. Most people describe it as a light vibration with some pressure — very manageable.
Expect 1–2 days of redness, like a light sunburn, followed by 3–4 days of light peeling as the surface turns over. You'll be back to your normal skincare and makeup by around day seven. Mineral SPF is non-negotiable in between.
You'll notice a glow within about a week, but the real remodeling happens over four to six weeks — which is exactly why we space sessions four weeks apart and plan for three.
Real Skin! patients, real microneedling plans. Individual results vary — your consult sets the right expectations for your skin.

“I received my first treatments from Jenna and she was amazing! We did the microneedling, Aerolase, and a chemical peel and she was so thorough and informative through the whole process. It was my first time getting anything done and I am LOVING my results.
The whole team at Skin! is amazing. From booking the appointment, to consultations, to being greeted when I stepped through the door. I truly felt supported and informed and am so excited for the plan we curated together to fit my needs and focus areas.”
Nothing synthetic added — this is your own structural protein.
With proper preparation for richer complexions.
1–2 days of redness, 3–4 days of light peeling — back to normal skincare and makeup by day 7.
Peels, lasers, injectables, and biostimulators.
Stretch marks, surgical scars, and rough texture too.
Collagen continues forming for weeks after each visit.
No surprise add-on fees and no upselling at the chair — here's exactly what a SkinPen session includes.
Every session treats your face and neck — not one or the other — and includes Factor Five stem cell aftercare products to support healing through your peeling window and protect your result.
SkinPen microneedling is included in our membership program — if you're planning a series of three, membership usually pays for itself on the first visit.

Amy D.Skin! Member"They prepped my skin for weeks before touching me because of my skin tone. No dark marks, just results."
Chhaya P.Skin! Member"Did microneedling with Sculptra as they suggested. Six months later people keep asking how my skin is so glowy!"
Courtney H.Skin! MemberFar less than most people expect. We apply a topical numbing cream and give it time to fully take effect before starting, so the treatment itself feels like a light vibration with some pressure — more unusual than painful. Bonier areas like the forehead and jawline can feel a bit sharper, and we adjust depth as we go.
Plan for about a week. The first one to two days you'll look flushed, similar to a light sunburn. Days three and four typically bring some light peeling as the surface turns over. Most patients are back to their normal skincare and makeup routine by around day seven. Mineral SPF is essential throughout, and the Factor Five stem cell aftercare products included with your treatment are designed to support this exact window.
Most concerns respond best to a series of three treatments spaced about four weeks apart, which matches your skin's natural collagen-building cycle. Deeper acne scarring or significant texture concerns may benefit from more, and many patients maintain their results with a session every six to twelve months.
Yes. Microneedling doesn't rely on heat or light energy that targets pigment, which makes it one of the safest collagen treatments across the full range of skin tones. That said, Fitzpatrick IV–VI skin is more prone to post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, so we start those patients on a skin-preparation protocol before the first session to calm pigment activity and protect the result.
Yes — neurotoxin, biostimulators, and EZ Gel PRF can all be performed in the same appointment, and we sequence them carefully so nothing interferes with healing. We especially like pairing Sculptra with microneedling: one rebuilds collagen from the surface down and the other stimulates deep structural collagen from below.
Depth, sterility, and outcome. SkinPen uses sealed single-use cartridges with precisely adjustable depth that reaches the dermis where collagen is actually produced. At-home rollers use reusable needles at a fixed, shallow depth that rarely pass the surface — good for product absorption, but they don't remodel collagen and carry real risks of scarring, infection, and pigment marks.
Because plans vary so much — a single session, a series of three, or microneedling combined with Sculptra, PRX-T33, or a peel — we quote pricing at your consultation rather than posting a flat rate. Book a virtual or in-person consult at Skin! Medical Aesthetics and we'll map your plan and your exact investment in one visit.
